this project invites you to be an active participant in making a length of textile rope as a symbol & tactile prayer for the future. taking place on apr 13th as part of Gather in the County - a Textile Sampler, in-person participants will have the opportunity to write their wishes, dreams & prayers on a beautiful piece of cotton ribbon. if you are unable to attend, we invite you to share, in the form below, a wish or dream or prayer you have for the future. we will add your messages to the ribbon, to be a part of this special rope.

i've teamed up with textile whiz kid shannon gerard for this community rope project. we'll be using cashmere & merino wool scraps from the sartoria studio, along with the cotton ribbon of wishes & dreams, to create the rope. it will be on display until the show ends at the end of april, re-appearing at the Gather in the County - Modern Textile Market on june 15th in Picton, ON. we are hoping it will find a home in a community space in Prince Edward County after the festival.
